Children of Lir brooch features Lir’s daughter, Fionnuala, who is not yet fully transformed into a swan, embracing her three brothers, Aedh, Conn, and Fiacra, who have already completely transformed into swans, due to the spell of the evil Aoife, their jealous stepmother.
The large and dimensional Irish legend brooch features embossed sterling silver construction. Fionnuala’s face, and the intertwined swan bodies of her brothers, are enhanced with a matte finish, while the balance of the brooch is polished. The sterling silver Children of Lir brooch measures 1 1/2” wide x 1 1/2" tall. The design is completed with embossed detailing along with a stick pin and a locking latch.
